Later that day, Duoxi Village had a meeting. Everyone of the villagers was excited to participate in this wonderful project. Everyone who I have met expressed their appreciation to the TibetanAid Foundation and its donors of Duoxi Water Project.

Jun 20, 2006, Duoxi Villagers started digging trench 3 miles from the village.

June 26, 2006, the TibetanAid Foundation team purchased water pipes and shipped them from Xining City to Duoxi Village.

One of the village group started moving pipes into the mountain by carrying on their shoulders.

Another group were putting water pipes along the trench.

While we were walking in the Douxi Village, I saw some women carrying water on their backs from far away to their homes. I asked some of them how long it took them to bring water home, they said about one hour.

One woman smilingly told me that once we complete thier water project, then they will not need to carry water on their backs anymore.

I also witnessed some doukeys carrying water too.

This water project will benefit not just humans but also animals.
