TibetanAid Foundation's accomplishments during 2005

• Construction of the ChaZhu Valley Clinic was completed on October 1, 2005.
• Community leaders met to create policies and guidelines for use of the facility.
• Corinne Collins, TAF project manager, visited the ChaZhu Valley from August 6 - 18, 2005
• On October 15, 2005, Jigme Rinpoche, one of the spiritual leaders of the community, led the opening ceremony by blessing the clinic.
• Jigme Rinpochecongratulated Dr. Sonam Ji and Xiaba, the two doctors who have dedicated themselves to serve the ChaZhu Valley community. They will reside in the clinic.
• In November, 2005, Dr. Sonam Ji and Xiaba purchased necessary medicines and some basic medical and office equipment for use in the clinic.
• The doctors began treating patients in the ChaZhu Valley Clinic.
• A ChaZhu Valley resident is being trained to be a medical translator(Tibetan/Chinese/English) for the doctors and medically trained visitors who wish to assist the clinic.
• The ChaZhu Valley clinic officially opened to receive patients on January 1, 2006
